
Welcome to the website of the Cumnor Players.
We were established in 2007 and presented our inaugural village pantomime Cinderella in December of that year at the Cumnor village hall. The production was a tremendous success providing fun and entertainment for participants and audiences alike, as well as raising funds for the village primary school and local charities. Spurred on by this success, we decided to do it all over again...and again (oh no you didn't... oh yes we did!).

Players do Shakespeare!This year is the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 50th birthday and to celebrate they are running a project called OPEN STAGES which invites amateur groups to put on a production with a Shakespeare connection. Some of us thought it might be fun and a development of our pantomime-based activities if we were to join the scheme, and as a result we shall be performing our newly written drama The Darke Years this summer. Cumnor Players go mad in Dorset!The Cumnor Players are very excited to be presenting our performance of ‘Beauti and the Beast of Lulworth Castle’ to Camp Bestival festival goers in 2012. Our story is adapted from our 2011 Pantomime "Beauti and the Beast of Boars Hill" and is now set in Dorset many hundreds of years ago, not long after the Normans had arrived. Further details.
